Pastelles (Pastelitos)

Pastelles, or Pastelitos, are Cuban pastries. They're a lot like the American turnover -- warm and flaky with special Cuban fillings.

Pastelles typically come in these flavors, and these flavors ALONE: guava (guayaba -- has a square shape), guava and cream cheese (guayaba y queso -- has a triangular shape), cream cheese (queso -- has a long thin shape), coconut (coco -- has a square shape), ham (jamón -- has a round shape) and meat (carne -- has a round shape).

The meat ones are great, sweet on the outside, with mildly spicy ground meat on the inside.
